A beautiful white ceramic MICHELIN valet tray featuring one of the most iconic historical illustrations of Bibendum: “Le Coup de la Semelle Michelin.”

This famous composition is the work of Marius Rossillon, known as O’Galop, the artist who brought Bibendum to life at the end of the 19th century. “Le Coup de la Semelle” appeared at the beginning of the 20th century, amidst intense competition between MICHELIN and the British manufacturer Dunlop. L’Aventure Michelin dates its creation to 1905. 

The illustration depicts a particularly dynamic Bibendum practicing French boxing and highlighting the sole of his shoe. The image is now part of MICHELIN's graphic and advertising heritage; the Carnavalet Museum also references this work and O’Galop’s model in its collections. 

The central design, particularly colorful against a blue background, contrasts elegantly with the white ceramic of the tray.
