This piece stands out very clearly from standard production Bibendums due to the presence of numerous handwritten control and validation annotations made directly on the item: "OK" notations, initials, arrows, circles, and markings for different areas of the mold.
This piece comes from a supplier working on behalf of Michelin.
According to the information accompanying its provenance, this copy served as a work/manufacturing validation piece, of the "BAT" (proof/press proof) or "one shot" type, before or during the model's production.
The annotations have been intentionally kept in their original state and have not been erased.
