This piece has undergone meticulous preparation: it has been serviced and sharpened by a master cutler in Thiers (63), the emblematic city of French cutlery.

It features an elegant wooden handle bearing the MICHELIN branding, uniting two great French names: Michelin and Opinel.

A BIT OF HISTORY

The story of Opinel began in 1890 in Savoy, when Joseph Opinel, then 18 years old, developed his famous little pocket knife in the family workshop.

In 1897, Joseph Opinel developed a range of numbered knives from N°01 to N°12. This numbering would span generations and contribute to the brand's identity.

Simple, robust, and immediately recognizable with its wooden handle, the Opinel has gradually become a true symbol of French craftsmanship. Its design has even found its place in collections and museum selections dedicated to design worldwide.

The N°8 is now one of the brand's iconic models.
